Boris Cherny is a seasoned software engineer and engineering leader at Anthropic, best known as the creator and lead engineer of Claude Code, Anthropic’s agentic coding tool for the terminal. He previously held senior engineering roles at Meta and Coatue and is also the author of Programming TypeScript published by O’Reilly.
